Foxwoods World Poker Finals 2018 Standings

The first day of the World Poker Tour Foxwoods World Poker Finals is in the record books after 353 players took to the felt hoping to collect the $910,058 first-place prize. After five levels of play, poker pro Todd Terry sits atop the chip counts with 165,700, but a number of top pros remain in the game including Soheil Shamseddin (126,000), Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi (125,900) and last year's second-place finisher Jonathan Jaffe (116,000).

In addition to the big-name players at the top of the chip counts, a number of other notables remain in contention including Billy Kopp (94,575), David Fox (92,650), Christian Harder (91,575), Jason Mercier (84,750), Eric Froehlich (83,250), Steve Sung (76,275) and former Foxwoods WPT winner Nick 'The Takeover' Schulman (76,000).

Although a number of pros are still alive in the field, many of the game's elite met their demise on Day 1, including Men 'The Master' Nguyen, Matt Glantz, Mike Leah, Josh Arieh, Mark Seif, Miami John Cernuto, Olivier Busquet, Robert Mizrachi, Chad Brown, Carlos Mortensen, Jason Young and David Williams.

Play resumes today at 12:00 p.m. EST as the remaining 206 players jockey for position, all vying for a piece of the $3,321,377 prize pool.
